Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Nyla’s Retreat & Dog Rescue Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”). These Volunteer Terms and Conditions outline the responsibilities and expectations of individuals (“Volunteer” or “you”) who participate in our volunteer programs.
1. Eligibility
- Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age. Volunteers under 18 require written parental consent and may be restricted to specific tasks.
- Volunteers must complete and submit a Volunteer Application Form.
- Acceptance as a volunteer is at our sole discretion.
2. Volunteer Conduct
By volunteering with us, you agree to:
- Treat animals and fellow volunteers with respect, kindness, and professionalism.
- Follow all safety protocols, guidelines, and instructions provided by staff.
- Represent the organization positively while on or off duty.
3. Training and Assignments
- Volunteers may be required to attend orientation or training sessions.
- Task assignments are based on organizational needs and volunteer qualifications.
- We reserve the right to reassign or terminate volunteer duties at any time.
4. Assumption of Risk
- Volunteering with animals carries inherent risks. By participating, you acknowledge and assume full responsibility for any personal injury or property damage that may occur.
- We are not responsible for lost or damaged personal property.
5. Confidentiality
Volunteers may have access to confidential or sensitive information. You agree not to disclose or misuse any such information during or after your service.
6. Insurance and Compensation
- Volunteers are not employees and are not entitled to compensation, benefits, or insurance coverage.
7. Termination
- We reserve the right to end the volunteer relationship at any time for any reason, including non-compliance with these terms.
8. Agreement
By volunteering with us, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these Volunteer Terms and Conditions.
